Welcome to the first posting of the NEW blog for school nurses in Colorado. This blog will be updated by the Regional Nurse Specialists and Kathy Patrick, of the Colorado Department of Education. On this site we will discuss "hot topics", best practice, research articles, and current events related to your professional nursing practice.
Check the site often for a list of Professional Development opportunities, and in Mid December look for online registration for the Regional Nurse’s Mental/Behavioral Health trainings—these will cover the latest state-wide initiatives and promise to offer solutions to many of your concerns related to addressing student’s mental health needs!
